I had a roommate in college who owned an E30 M3.  Once we were debating the relative strengths of the Miata as a performance car, and specifically the merits of 50/50 weight balancing, especially in every day driving.

I think this video (although irresponsibly filmed on what appears to be a public road) does a very nice job of showcasing the 50/50 weight balance of the Miata in typical street usage.  Note that on every turn the car stays firmly planted, with just a hint of over-steer... a very good characteristic of a roadster.
